Sierra Machinery & Engineering built its reputation on one machine. The world's fastest skiving and roller burnishing machine put us on the map with hydraulic cylinder manufacturers across every continent. Behind that machine is a full service precision manufacturing shop that has been running in Sparks, Nevada since 1979.
We specialize in larger parts and multiple process parts — the kind of work that requires more than one operation and more than one machine. Everything happens in house at 1651 Glendale Avenue. Nothing leaves our shop until it meets the drawing tolerance.

Precision manufacturing is not a side business for Sierra Machinery & Engineering. It is what our shop was built to do. Our Plant Manager brings 30 years of experience in the manufacturing industry. Our Quality Supervisor has spent 15 years in the quality field. Our Machine Building Supervisor is a certified welder with 14 years of hands-on fabrication experience.
This is not a young team learning on the job. These are people who have seen every kind of machining challenge and know how to solve it. Customers come to us with multiple process parts and solution engineering challenges — jobs that require lathe work, milling, Wire EDM, and grinding all under one roof. We handle that entire scope in house at 1651 Glendale Avenue without sending a single operation out the door.
Our dedicated CMM Lab backs every job. Parts are measured, inspected, and verified to tolerance before they ship. That is not a claim — it is a process our Quality Supervisor has been running for 15 years.
